Science & Education Systems
Education- One of the main aspects Stanton and the Declaration of Sentiments has effected, is the curriculum and education systems of many countries today. Today most countries allow both boys and girls to have free public education, with the exception of some Middle Eastern countries. In the past, the countries in this region have only allowed boys to have a full education, girls were excluded, some having no education at all and some only receiving an education limited to the basics such as reading, writing, and simple math skills. A woman having a college education can be unheard of in some areas, but slowly higher education rates are rising.
Some people, especially men may think “I’m a guy, how does this women’s rights movement thing have anything to do with my life??” , well its doesn't directly, but many things that you all use on a daily basis were created by women. If those women didn’t have a college education and were given the right to go explore you wouldn't have those products today. Things such as car heaters, fire escapes, the electric refrigerator, the dishwasher, and wireless transmitting technology (which is the basis for GPS’s and Wi-Fi) were all discovered and invented by women. Without the women’s rights movement, women wouldn't be allowed to study science, technology, engineering, or mechanics jobs. Before the Declaration of Sentiments, women were only allowed to be teachers and authors, several years later they were allowed to be nurses, and eventually given rights to study to be doctors or scientists.
Since more and more opportunities are open to women, more women are becoming educated enough to become doctors, scientists, and are able to hold official positions which brings me to my next point on how the feminist movement has impacted the government.

Feminism has impacted Science & Technology by...
- having many STEM advances be discovered by women.
- having women in STEM jobs earning 33% more pay than women not in STEM jobs, they also experience less of a wage gap to men.
- creating the WISE (Women into Science & Engineering) Campaign, UK Engineering Society, Scientista Foundation so women and girls interested in pursuing a STEM career can get information from other female scientists.
- preventing women from having their discoveries overlooked and credit wrongly given to their male supervisors/colleagues
